If you are running GFI Max / Logic Now / MAX Remote Management or whatever they change their name to again in the near future and need to uninstall Vipre Managed Managed Antivirus or are having problems trying to get it to install from your Remote Management Dashboard, here is the location of the removal tool to clean it up from the system. Be sure you've removed it from the console before running the tool.
Windows Vista/7 - Click Start Control Panel Uninstall a Program or Programs and Features. Windows 8 - From the Start Menu (Tiles Screen), type 'Control' and a search will come up as you are typing. Click the Control Panel option, then Uninstall a Program or Programs and Features. Find VIPRE in the list then right click on it and select Uninstall/Change. You may receive a window that reads 'Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?' , if so, click on the Yes button. In the Program Maintenance window you will receive two options. ☆☆ VIPRE Business Mobile Security for Android☆☆ This app uses the Device Administrator permission. Business-level security for your Android smartphone or tablet. VIPRE Business Mobile Security for Android works in conjunction with VIPRE Business to manage antivirus.
Please be aware to only run this when the system is not in use as it will automatically reboot the computer upon completion.
1. Press the Windows key and the 'R' key at the same time.
2. A Run Window should open. In the Run Window's text bar, type: appwiz.cpl
3. Press the Enter key on your keyboard or click the OK button in the Run Window.
4. A window should open with a list of all your installed apps and programs. Find VIPRE in the list then right click on it and select Uninstall/Change.
You may receive a window that reads 'Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?', if so, click on the Yes button.
5. In the Program Maintenance window you will receive two options. Choose how you would like to proceed based off the information listed below then click on the Next button.
- Repair (This option will save your VIPRE settings. Choose Repair if you plan on reinstalling VIPRE.)
- Remove (This option will remove all of VIPRE's files. Choose this option if you do not plan on reinstalling VIPRE.)
Follow the remaining steps on screen to complete the repair or removal of VIPRE.
